100% malbec from a site in Prayssac, vinified by Louis and Charlotte Perot at their winery and home above the Lot River in Cahors.
2016 was a warm year in Cahors and indeed for Louis and Charlotte, resulting in slightly fruitier and fleshier wines which, while just as delicious to drink, provide an interesting contrast to some of the nervier and more austere recent vintages. Now approaching its 8th birthday, the fruit has started to take on some lovely tertiary character and the wine has entered a particularly good window for drinking – which is best done at a cool, or even chilled, temperature.
