Sylvain Martinez’ wines all speak of his humility as a winemaker, the thread woven through each cuvée is an incredible purity and expression that speaks of the soil and the vintage. He started making his own wines in 2006 with only the help of close family, after several years he was able to expand, working with a small, seasonal team of people who live locally. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand, selection is done with utmost care before being gently pressed with the use of an ancestral press.
This wine is no different: a light bodied red with beautifully delicate tannins and dark berried fruit. There is a quiet calm to this wine brought on by earthiness and pepper that give a clear sensation of autumn.
