From Nelson-via-Kyoto winemaker Yuki Nakano.
This is mostly pinot noir grown on clay near Yuki’s base at the northern tip of New Zealand’s south island, which was fermented and aged in Spanish amphora.
Medium-bodied, with fine tannic structure and a compact core of savoury dark red fruit, and with a regional and distinctly saline edge which makes the wine fantastic with a variety of foods.
A brilliant addition to the winter dinner table.
