Here’s a very, very delicious and lightly chalky sparkling from iconic western Beaujolais domaine Conservatoire des Vignes Anciennes.
This extraordinary property is planted to more than 140 grape varieties and owners Karine and Cyril Alonso have a formidable reputation as ultra-fastidious farmers and winemakers.
The 2021 Je T’aime is lightly hazy thanks to the light maceration of the skins, yet has very lovely clarity of fruit on the palate.
Open this carefully (nice and cold) and have a glass handy as there’s a good amount of pressure in the bottle. Enjoy as a top little aperitif.
