Description
Mineral, deep and varietal with a thrilling acid line, this is a brilliant offering from Anjou vigneron Sylvain Martinez from the excellent 2020 harvest.
Sylvain started making his own wines in 2006 with only the help of close family. After several years he was able to expand, working with a small, seasonal team of people who live locally. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand and selection is done with utmost care before fruit is pressed with the use of an ancestral press, with all of the wines eventually seeing a lengthy period of elevage in old barrel.
This is resolved, layered and powerful, and will continue to evolve beautifully in bottle for years to come.
