This is a ripper!!
As much as we really adore silken, ultra supple pinot noir, we also really love examples like this that have some grit and gravel in the structure and that are great with food.
Lambert Spielmann’s 2020 Completment Red is 100% pinot noir grown on sandstone and, while the fruit has a lovely shade of red and is quite crisp, there is also plenty of sinew and chalk on the palate from the fermentation and maceration on skins.
Serve this cool but not cold and enjoy with a plate of great quality charcuterie.
