In 2018, Francois Blanchard made just a very small fraction of his usual production, due to extremely challenging weather.
The resulting yields, desperately small, were incredibly concentrated and this macerated sauvignon will surely evolve well over 4-5 decades.
From Francois’ beloved Le Grande Cleré vineyard, planted by his grandfather, this deeply layered macerated wine is now revealing just how much concentration and information is actually contained in every bottle.
Give this a decant and allow it to really open up.
This is an immense cuvee - beyond powerful - and we’d recommend serving it with pork chops or a similar sort of protein.
