Yuuuuuuummmm!!!
Here’s another very well made wine from Amy and Olly of Halcyon Days in Hawke’s Bay.
Having made wine in Spain for nearly ten years, Amy returned home to NZ in 2012 and she and Olly began their label in 2019.
Their wines are made almost always in tank and are extremely precise.
The 2021 Luz comes from two organic vineyards, both of which are on relatively alluvial soils and it’s a wonderfully delicate expression of Hawke’s Bay, with dark, fresh and lightly sappy fruit.
Serve this with a meal and watch it unfold beautifully over a couple of hours (it also tastes very good on day two !!)
