Description:
Amazing wine!!!
This cuvee is one the first wines to be released from Catherine Dumora’s new solo project in the Auvergne.
Catherine is farming an incredible vineyard in the slopes above the village of Bansat, about 30 minutes drive south of Cleremont-Ferrand.
This old vineyard sits high on a west-facing slope and the terroir is made up of a hugely diverse mix of granite, schist, quartz and basalt.
The 2019 N(E)GO is a medium bodied and silken blend of syrah, alicante bouschet and gamay d’Auvergne.
It leaps out of the glass with Auvergne earth and fruit and on the palate it is deep and long with the delicious light but rich fruit the Auvergne is famous for.
We love serving this at about 15C. Enjoy with or without food but, if eating, we recommend light protein….a fish stew would be wonderful with this!
