Description
Here’s a particularly fine, light and taut expression of malbec from Louis and Charlotte Perot.
We love the delicate red fruit of the 2020 Hilarius. Louis and Charlotte picked this wine quite early, fermented the juice carbonically and bottled it after just a couple of months of elevage. As such, it’s has a much lighter shade of red fruit than we usually expect from this appellation and in many ways really resembles Loire Valley gamay.
Enjoy with lean meat, nicely pink in the centre and a light roquette salad with a good squeeze of lemon juice.
