From the supremely talented Andy Cummins, this comes from mourvedre, syrah and riesling grown in the Barossa on a mixture of sand and clay and vinified in tank and barrel.
The result sits stylistically somewhere between a rosé and orange wine – a dry and savoury style with restrained pink fruit and some just-ripe stone fruit, met with some delicate mealy flavours from the elevage, and a delicious notion of warm weather on the palate, with well-judged but relaxed acidity and gentle phenolic structure.
