Rasa Little Liar 2023
Details:
Producer: Rasa
Vintage: 2023
Variety: Grenache, Cinsault
Country: Australia
Region: Barossa
Terroir: Clay, Sand
Farming: Organic
Fining/Filtration: None
Added SO2: None
ABV: 12.5%
Description:
Grenache and cinsault, grown in the Barossa and fermented together semi-carbonically for 10 days before being pressed to barrel for 16 months of elevage.
Just medium-bodied, with lots of deliciously varietal primary character in the realm of dark berries, plums and garrigue, framed by very fine, powdery tannins and well-placed acidity. There’s a subtle notion of candied fruit and glossiness from the carbonic stint, although there’s also some gently sinewy and savoury matter on the palate, which balances the scales perfectly.
A style that would do nicely at a slightly chilled temperature, but is also well suited to drinking over winter at around 16C.
Cheers Andy!
