A true collector’s item and one of the most profound bottles in the shop.
This comes from old-vine sauvignon blanc from Faye d’Anjou which was aged in barrel untopped under flor for 11 years. Resembling vin jaune in terms of the developed aromas and flavours albeit with a distinctly different acidic framework. Saline, complex and very deep.
Sylvain makes some of our very favourite wines in the world, and this is one of his most ambitious and rewarding bottlings. Brilliant.
