Medium bodied red wine from one of our favourite producers in the Loire Valley.
This is fresh, earthen, wonderfully balanced, and has entered a wonderfully resolved window of its evolution, with variety, soil and style of vinification all singing.
Sylvain Martinez is a softly spoken and humble gentleman and his wines evolve slowly and are particularly deep. His grolleau grows on sandy soil near the village of La Thoureil in Anjou, and in 2017 Sylvain had a great growing season, with excellent physiological ripeness.
