Description
Sylvain Martinez’ wines all speak of his humility as a winemaker; the thread woven through each cuvée is an incredible purity and expression that speaks of the soil and the vintage. He started making his own wines in 2006 with only the help of close family. After several years he was able to expand, working with a small, seasonal team of people who live locally. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand, selection is done with utmost care before being gently pressed with the use of an ancestral press.
Rouge Gam is a light bodied red with dark-berried fruit, abundant pepper and earth from the sandy soils, beautifully fine tannic structure and minerality from the lengthy maceration. A brilliant wine perfectly suited to autumnal weather.
