Something very special indeed – a 3L bag of fiano from the iconic Cantina Giardino in Irpinia, Campania.
We really love this format. Besides the great value owing to the lighter materials and reduced shipping costs, the wine is also given additional protection and freshness due to being stored in larger volume, and can be enjoyed over many days without being negatively affected by oxygen. The future of wine, or so we hope!
The wine itself is gorgeous – macerated fiano, medium-bodied and floral with stone fruits and gently structured phenolics. A classical and precisely vinified southern Italian wine, but one with abundant and joyous fruit which very much suits the bigger format, lending itself to being drunk as an aperitif or with food at a picnic, party or long lunch.
