Description
The return of one of our all-time favourite and most sought after orange wines.
Former social worker Lambert Spielmann has been farming just over two hectares in and around the commune of Epfig since 2017. A sensitive farmer and a meticulous winemaker, we have grown to love Lambert’s wines for their delicious and thrilling fruit, balance and precision, and harmony of texture.
Adul’terre is 100% gewürztraminer which was macerated for an extended period during primary fermentation and raised in a combination of tank and barrel. It offers complex and wildly expressive varietal aromas of flowers, citrus peel and rosewater and an equally generous, textural palate with deliciously vivid peachy fruit. In 2024, due to a slightly cooler growing season, this cuvee is particularly balanced, with a touch more freshness and structure than in previous years providing a welcome counterpoint to the hedonistic gewurz flavours, and which make it well suited to enjoying both with and without food.
Highly recommended!
