Description:
This is quite incredible red wine.
Promess is from Jerome Guichard’s relatively new parcel of gamay in Uchizy in Macon and the soil here is pure limestone.
The 2017 Promess is dark, smoky and fleshy and but with very, very fresh acidity.
We love serving this just beneath room temp - around 18C is nice and we definitely recommend serving with food. A piece of scotch fillet with a generous squeeze of lemon will do very nicely indeed.
