Description
A lovely and seriously good value blend of riesling and gewurztraminer from young gun Spike Frazer. Spike is based in the Yarra but the fruit for this wine comes from a site in Mansfield, in Victoria’s high country.
The two varieties find excellent balance here, with aromatic and apricot-laden gewurz character tempered by more linear and refreshing riesling fruit. It’s ripe and expressive but nicely compact, taut and precise, with some well-judged phenolic presence lending structure too.
We expect to tear through quite a few of these over the summer! Thanks very much Spike!
