Description
Fallow is the project of young star Spike Frazer, who is based in Healesville and makes wine from Yarra Valley fruit as well as from a handful of organic vineyards further north. This wine comes from Yarra Valley pinot noir as well as some muscat sourced from northern Victoria.
A deliciously light, fruity and summery style, this is salmon-pink in the glass and leads with aromas of orange citrus and small pink berries, with some delicate floral muscat-y nuance and gentle aromas of river stones. Bright on the palate with plenty of early-picked crunch to the fruit, this is very appropriate for drinking as an aperitif in warmer weather.
