Fuente Guijarro Membrilla 2022 apple / quince
A sparkling blend of various varieties of apple and quince, farmed and made by Manuel Moreno and Sara Bertani from their property high in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the far south of Spain. It’s racy, mineral and very dry, albeit with plenty of primary matter on the palate, and with gorgeous aromatic properties from the quince.
Celler Tomas Torres La Vinyeta 2023 portobodega
A chalky, textural and saline white with restrained albeit beautifully sunkissed Mediterranean fruit, courtesy of one of our favourite Spanish producers, situated just south of Valencia. A revelation when served alongside oysters and other light seafood dishes.
Halcyon Days Halcyon 2024 macerated sauvignon blanc
From the breathtaking new Halcyon Days vintage. Macerated sauvignon grown on the alluvial soils of the Osawa vineyard, and brought to life entirely in tank. Textural and taut, with expressive and very pure varietal fruit abundant in green pineapple and jalapeño character.
Halcyon Days Vermillion 2023 sangiovese rosé
A dark rosé or ultra-light red, made from some of the only sangiovese vines in Aotearoa by Amy and Olly Hopkinson-Styles. Picked a bit earlier and vinified in stainless steel, this is light, fresh and incredibly pure in its expression of tart red varietal fruit. One of the most sought-after wines in the shop, and for good reason!
Celler Tomas Torres Al Tall Tinto 2023 grenache
Sleek, polished and perfumed grenache, with a combination of fine tannins and a gentle spritz which makes it very well suited to the fridge.
Kunoh Wines Casablanca 2022 pinot noir / alicante bouschet / pinot blanc
A medium-bodied red made by Yuki Nakano in Upper Moutere, Aotearoa. There’s a deliciously savoury, saline quality beneath the dark red fruit which we’ve come to associate with the heavy clay soils of this area and which makes it both moreish and very versatile at the table.
