South Australian royalty James Erskine is back with another magnificent suite of wines, this time from the high, high-quality 2024 harvest. We always love these wines for their delicious fruit and super-precise winemaking but in 2024, the wines also show perhaps the most minerality that we’ve ever tasted from these sites.
This comes from a vineyard in Clarendon farmed organically by Fiona Wood and Dave Gartelman, planted over rich red clays with shale and schist. The fruit was destemmed and fermented to dryness on skins before being pressed off to tank and barrel for elevage.
