Description
South Australian royalty James Erskine is back with another magnificent suite of wines, this time from the high, high-quality 2024 harvest. We always love these wines for their delicious fruit and super-precise winemaking but in 2024, the wines also show perhaps the most minerality that we’ve ever tasted from these sites.
This comes from a few different vineyards in McLaren Vale, with most of the fruit fermented carbonically. Guava in colour with various shades of spiced red and tropical fruits, this is quite youthful in texture and sits somewhere between an orange wine and a rosé. Perhaps the most fruit-driven wine from the release and the one we’d most like to drink in the sun, out on the street.
