Description
Anjou vigneron Adrien de Mello makes some of our very favourite wines in the area from his four hectares of vines near the village of Saint Aubin de Luigné. With well-established vines planted over clay and schist and everything vinified in fibreglass, the wines are pure and gently mineral, all with glorious primary fruit.
This is lightly macerated sauvignon from two well-established parcels — delicate, fruity and lightly saline, with pith, floral aromas and delicious stonefruit and tropical fruit.
Originally from Brittany, Adrien has come to Anjou after years of international winemaking experience, including stints in South Africa and the US as well as with Anjou luminary Babass.
