Description
Dark, complex and earthy gamay from the coarse granitic soils of Roanne, with mature yet tense and energetic fruit carried by lovely varietal acidity. This is a superb option for dinner in cooler weather.
The soils here are very, very coarse, loose decomposed granite which imparts a real sense of freshness and aroma to the wines. Excellent farming here, and these wines, with their acid structure and aromas are like a study in terroir — the coarse granite impacts them enormously.
