Description
Nothing makes us happier than receiving new wines from Kyatt and Anna and the team at Limus. Grown across a number of high quality sites and soil types in the Mount Gambier region, these are reliably classical, varietal and precise wines which we find to be both approachable and versatile at the table, with a lovely balance between easygoing fruit and more serious savoury nuance (owing both to the volcanic composition of some of the sites and a good amount of time in barrel).
This comes from pinot noir grown on the volcanic soils of the Eumeralla vineyard. The fruit was destemmed and given only one day’s maceration before being pressed off, resulting in a vibrant and medium-weighted light red with slightly pulpy fruit in the realm of red berries and just-ripe stone fruits balanced by delicately sappy regional eucalypt character lending refreshment on the back-palate.
Delightful served at cellar temperature, cool but not chilled.
