Description:
Nothing makes us happier than receiving new wines from Kyatt and Anna and the team at Limus. Grown across a number of high quality sites and soil types in the Mount Gambier region, these are reliably classical, varietal and precise wines which we find to be both approachable and versatile at the table, with a lovely balance between easygoing fruit and more serious savoury nuance (owing both to the volcanic composition of some of the sites and a good amount of time in barrel).
This comes from sauvignon blanc and pinot gris farmed by Kyatt and Anna at their Talbot Road vineyard. The fruit was picked together, destemmed and macerated for 12 days before being pressed to old French oak, resulting in a fresh, medium-bodied and savoury orange wine which is nicely crystalline in texture.
