Description:
The tremendously exciting return of what in recent years has become one of our favourite macerated whites in the country.
Kyatt’s riesling comes from the Apple Farm vineyard, which grows over limestone-based soils, and here saw one week on skins before being pressed off to barrel. The final wine is medium-weighted with gorgeous, savoury nectarine fruit balanced by a kiss of gently bitter skins on the back-palate. The structure is fine and resolved from the time in barrel, with only a touch of tannic structure coming through from the short maceration.
A perfect addition to the long lunch tables of Spring.
