Description:
Gorgeous sauvignon blanc from the Pooks Hill vineyard, which Anton leases and is home to 30-year-old vines planted over black sand and schist.
This was direct-pressed to 2000L oak barrels for fermentation and elevage, and later racked and aged untopped in barrel, wherein some light oxidative characters were allowed to develop.
Just-medium-weighted and lightly textural with citrus, orchard fruit and honeysuckle, and a complex nose of gently saline, nutty aroma mingling with restrained primary fruit. Top-quality and very precisely made, this represents another jewel in the crown for Anton and the team’s soaring 2024 harvest.
