Description:

Tim and Mon create some of our favourite wines in the country every year. Their 25 acre property in the Forest Range is perched on an ancient ridge with an abundance of schist and mica and, as a result, their wines often have a captivating notion of depth and minerality.

Peaches is a macerated blend of various white varieties grown on the property, including pinot gris, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and savagnin. The fruit was macerated for 10 days before being pressed off to clay egg and barrel for elevage.

An ever-so-slightly leaner rendition in 2023, perhaps, although not without excellent physiological ripeness. Delicious fruit in the realm of persimmon and, indeed, peaches, complemented by delicious threads of grass and dried leaves. A taut, crystalline and resolved palate, albeit with some delicious fleshy primary texture, and with the compelling mineral core that the site is famous for.

Brilliant as ever.
