Description:
Tim and Mon create some of our favourite wines in the country every year. Their 25 acre property in the Forest Range is perched on an ancient ridge with an abundance of schist and mica and, as a result, their wines often have a captivating notion of depth and minerality.
This comes from savagnin from a single steep NW facing block planted over ironstone and clay. 2024 was a challenging season — a wet, cold spring led to poor flowering, and a hot, hard summer with very little rain — resulting in tiny quantities of concentrated, powerful wine.
This is textural and mineral with spice-laden and honeyed orchard fruit and a feeling of power owing to variety, season, and of course, place.
