Description
Étienne Fort is a young producer working in the Aude valley in the Pyrenees. Despite being in the sunny Languedoc, this region is relatively cool thanks to its mountainous elevation and high winds. Combined with limestone-rich soils, the area is very well-suited to sparkling wine, which has been produced here since Roman times – long before sparkling wine was made in Champagne.
This is an elegant, classical and lightly saline style with crisp citrus and orchard fruits, some toasted nut aromatic nuance, zippy acidity and textural bubbles.
