Description:
From the highly regarded and certified-Biodynamic Moon Vineyard on the banks of the Goulburn River in Nagambie, operated by Greta Moon and Mike Boudry.
Originally a vineyard and winery as far back as 1860s, Greta bought this property in 1992 and begun replanting the site, and started implementing organic and biodynamic practises in 2005. In the past few years, Greta and Mike have started making a portion of their wine without any additions, and the results have been exceptional.
2024 is a low-yielding and concentrated vintage. It was made in a mixture of tank and barrel, and as a result has a very pleasing balance between plump texture and more crystalline chisel, with beautifully aromatic golden orchard fruit, layers of creamy lees-influenced flavours and a concentrated, persistent back-palate.
This is a brilliant and classical Victorian chardonnay, pristine in both fruit quality and vinification. Highly recommended!
