Description:
From Sardinian baker and winemaker Gianfranco Manca comes this full-bodied, ripe and now nicely mature carignan blend growing in the hot and dry soils of southern Sardinia.
Gianfranco came to winemaking via baking after inheriting his family’s very, very old vineyard, and in addition to making wines in Sardinia, has also made wines in South Australia with the likes of Tom Shobbrook and Anton von Klopper.
These wines are grown on schist and, in addition to their glorious Mediterranean fruit and garrigue character, always have glorious palate-staining minerality as a result.
