Pinot from the NASSA Certified Organic Mt Bera Vineyard in Gumeracha, Adelaide Hills.
This cuvee comes specifically from the top of the vineyard that has the lowest yield (only 70 dozen bottles were made) but the most mature and balanced ripeness. A 50/50 blend of whole bunches and de-stemmed berries led to a very healthy and expressive ferment and, ultimately, one of the best red wines we’ve ever tasted from James.
Classical and medium-bodied with finely textured red fruit underscored by delicious varietal earth and salinity. Brilliant.
