Description:

Over the past four years James Madden from Scintilla and Alex Schulkin from The Other Right have combined their organically grown fruit and their adventurous natures to create a delicious drop that amounts to much more than a sum of its parts. The aromas and the flavours offer up everything from candied to raisined fruit and from honey and dried citrus peel to flowers and nuts.

In simple terms it is a barrel-aged sweet wine that was fortified with matured grape spirit and aged untopped in barrel, Macvin-style. The addition of grape spirit gives it a dry quality that makes it a great option to enjoy as an aperitif, but the sweetness of the fruit would make it an ideal combination with some cheeses and desserts. Like the label says, it is a curiosity. But one that is best just to enjoy.

Only 50 dozen made!
