Description:
The miniscule quantities of chenin blanc made by Claire and Florent Bejon from their base in Chinon comprise some of the most celebrated and sought after white wines in the whole of the Loire.
Planted in a parcel of only half a hectare established over fifty years ago, the Bejons’ chenin grows over a mix of clay, limestone and silex, and produces fruit of extraordinary concentration and depth. In 2022, the fruit was direct-pressed to barrels for three years of fermentation and elevage in their tuffeau cave, and eventually bottled with just a whisper of residual sugar.
An extraordinary bottling which will evolve beautifully for years to come.
