Description
Deep and mineral chenin from a very high quality year in Anjou, this was grown on schist and saw a good spell of time in barrel prior to bottling. Today, it’s resolved, layered and varietal, with concentrated golden fruit which we expect will continue to evolve beautifully in bottle for years to come.
Sylvain started making his own wines in 2006 with only the help of close family. After several years he was able to expand, working with a small, seasonal team of people who live locally. All work in the vineyard is carried out by hand and selection is done with utmost care before fruit is pressed with the use of an ancestral press, with all of the wines eventually seeing a lengthy period of elevage in old barrel.
This is one of our favourite white wines every year and 2022 has every bit of site-expressive depth and varietal deliciousness that we’ve come to expect from the cuvee. Brilliant.
