Description:
Organic, hand-picked palomino grown in Puerto de Santa Maria, from vines planted in alluvial albariza soils. The fruit was sun-dried for two days after picking, and eventually underwent 24 months ageing under flor.
Saline and complex with citrus and citrus rind, nuts, hay and parmesan, with a wonderful balance between layers of electric acidity and softer, richer yeasty character.
Forlong was conceived in 2009 by Alejandro Narváez and Rocío Áspera. The pair make magnificent expressions of traditional local varieties, all borne of the glaringly chalky and sun- and salt-soaked landscape which is so unique to Jerez.
A must for fino and manzanilla fans!
