Thrilling macerated wine from Alsace.
Yannick comes from a winemaking family and brings to his craft a storied resumé including stints with Gianmarco Abruzzi (Le Coste) in Lazio and Terada Honke in Japan. Today, he farms 3.5ha around the village of Obernai in Alsace, all planted over clay and limestone, as well as making some négoce wine as well.
The varieties for this cuvee were macerated together for about a week before being pressed off to old barrels for elevage. It has all the dizzying aromas and flavours one would expect from the varieties and place, albiet with plenty of pithy drive too. Sublime.
